Once a common inhabitant of the Adriatic, this rare species has now almost disappeared from our region, which gives it a strong symbolic value in an artistic and ecological context. The depiction of the monk seals is a reminder of the wealth of natural heritage that was once part of the everyday life of coastal communities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"531\" data-end=\"946\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The sculpture acts not only as an aesthetic element, but also as a silent message about the need to preserve the sea and its inhabitants. Located along the coast, it connects space, history and nature, evoking a time when these animals were part of the local identity.
